Hi. I've scoured the internet and I can't seem to find a Mac Bone X Leopard install ISO. I know that this ISO volition not fit onto a single-layer disc, and then I need to find i, mount information technology in Windows and shrink it downwards to an appropriate size. Any help would exist appreciated.
It should come with the disk when you buy information technology.
Yes, I have seen that Apple still sells ten.6 Snow Leopard, just I need x.5 Leopard for PowerPC. And the trouble is that all my computers don't accept Dual-Layer DVD drives. And unfortunately, the disc is Dual-Layer. Although if I come across an Intel-Based Mac, I will know where to find Snow Leopard.
I've heard that yous tin can telephone call Apple tree to get a replacement disc, but that is Dual-Layer too.

All Mac models that are capable of running OS X 10.v should take a DVD drive capable of reading the install DVD. What model(due south) are you trying to install it on?
Alternatively, buy a inexpensive external DVD bulldoze. Just make sure that your machines are supported by 10.five offset.
I'm using a Power Mac G4 MDD with a Dual 1.25GHz PPC G4.
I have no idea if the drive is even dual-layer capable, every bit it doesn't tell me fifty-fifty if I go into the Apple tree Arrangement Profiler, and even if information technology is, I don't accept whatever DL discs in my home.

The drive will be able to read dual-layer discs. If you lot purchase the disk from Apple it should work merely fine. Y'all tin can find information technology cheaper on eBay, only be sure that y'all purchase either a retail edition or ane intended specifically for your model. The ten.v disks supplied with early Intel Macs didn't contain the PPC version. A version for a unlike PPC model would not include drivers for your hardware.
As long as you lot purchase a retail version and have at least 1GB of RAM it should run just fine.
Thanks. My Windtunnel G4 is misbehaving right now, and then will have to troubleshoot some time tomorrow. Do Apple even sell Leopard discs whatsoever more? The videos and documentation I've seen is from 2011-2013. Plus, I accept no idea if Apple tree even extends the service of replacement discs to the UK.
Amazed that Apple do accept some back up for older Macs though, peculiarly the PowerPC Compages.

If you demand to know the model of the DVD drive that is in the Windtunnel, its a Pioneer DVD-104.
EDIT: Deplorable, it's a Pioneer DVR-104 SuperDrive.

That drive definitely reads dual-layer disks (though it cannot write them).
On farther searching, I may be incorrect nearly Apple tree yet selling Leopard disks, though they practise sell Snow Leopard. Simply eBay usually has a pick of genuine Apple retail disks, new and used, at reasonable prices.
That looks to exist the real deal. If it turns out otherwise you should be able to become a refund from eBay.
Thanks for confirming this. Hopefully it'due south the real bargain!
